My grandfather had mentioned this when I was in my teens. I thought he had lost his mind.

China now has a Terminator Patrolling with the police in Public!

In the south of China, a humanoid robot straight out of a sci-fi movie was spotted walking side by side with real armed police officers.

I think the armed officers were there to keep a watchful eye and oversee the humanoid action and performance, which would make good sense.

This has already started, in labs all over the world, and is spreading slowly; this is the future evolution with OpenAI.

Be mindful now that this is not a Robocop, like you saw in the movie.

It's only an assisting tool for police forces with very sophisticated AI programming, and will not be equipped with the future "Synthetic Intelligence" SI, not yet anyway, which would be more advanced in decision-making, reasoning and reconning, and would not be let loose in public like the weaponized Robocop of the movies.

If you notice, the humanoid is not weaponized like the police officers.

It happened in Shenzhen, where the machine, Engine AI T800, casually joined police patrol like it’s 2049 already.

These are pilot projects under the watchful eye of programmers for their future application, and under very close watch by the manufacturers, designers, engineers, and lab programmers to ensure perfection of these humanoids.

Yeah, they literally called it the programmed T800, and it looks like a jacked metal soldier.

This went down at “Window of the World,” a major tourist spot, where you see these all the time, being a testing area for special humanoid units.
